While everyone’s been using ChatGPT, I bet you didn’t know that a competitor, Anthropic, has launched Claude II. They literally just launched it today, and I played around with it. I must say, I’m pretty impressed.

I got early access to Claude.ai, which is now available on the web instead of Slack, making it much easier for everyone to access. Currently, beta users in the US and the UK can use this.

Let me show you something really cool. You can actually add files such as:

• PDF
• Text
• CSV

​

Typically, you have to pay for this on ChatGPT Plus, but on Claude II, it’s free. Here are my first impressions:

I asked Claude II to create a TikTok video hook with 10 different marketing angles, and right off the bat, it was pretty good. But I wanted to improve it, so I said, "Make it more specific." 

​

Some of the responses that stood out were:

​

• How ActiveCampaign replaced three other marketing tools and saved me $500 a month.
• The one ActiveCampaign report I check every single day and why you should too.

Claude also provided really good reasoning for why it used those specific hooks.

​

What's impressive is that I didn’t give it much context, but it quickly understood what I was trying to achieve without needing extensive training.

I also uploaded a dummy contract, and Claude gave me some really specific considerations that I had never thought about before.

​

However, when it came to financial Excel spreadsheets, it couldn’t format the information into a table and didn’t provide as much reasoning compared to ChatGPT.

​

Another cool feature: I asked it for a marketing strategy based on my situation. Again, I didn’t give a lot of context, but the result felt really targeted. It seemed like Claude actually knew where I was coming from and understood the larger objective, not just providing generic answers. This made it feel trained to think strategically, with a broader context in mind.

If you haven’t tried Claude.ai, I definitely recommend it. I think it will surprise you with its creativity and strategic thinking.
